RE: HICKEY LAWYERS APPOINTMENTS I am very happy to announce the appointment of Simon Chan as an owner of the firm, together with Joe Welch, Jamie Bolic, Mark Lacy and myself. Simon has been with the team now for 11 years and has well and truly earnt the opportunity to take up ownership. He has developed a substantial business practice and expertise in development work, hotel transactions, leasing, joint ventures, construction law and foreign investment. More importantly, Simon has for 11 years shown complete commitment to the fundamental goal at Hickey Lawyers – and that is - to make things happen for the client. Our partnership ranks will also be strengthened by the admission of Senior Lawyers, Damien Hodgson, Dan Marino and David Nematalla as Partners. These guys are role models within the firm for their expertise in their particular areas and their work ethic, which never sees them go home until the job is done. Damien will join Scott Eustace as a Partner in our Litigation division. Damien and Scott are the only lawyers on the Gold Coast who have achieved the prestigious Commercial Litigation Accreditation from the Queensland Law Society. Dan and David will be well known to our commercial clients. They both relish the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of property development and commercial business, making sure that they provide solutions, and once again, make things happen for the client.
