Profile & Experience

Rebecca Baird is the newest member of the Hickey Lawyers commercial litigation team, joining in April 2022. She was admitted to practice as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2007.

Prior to this she worked at McLaughlins Lawyers in the family law department. With a passion for supporting women facing the harrowing impacts of domestic violence, Rebecca has dedicated many hours to pro bono work for women’s shelters.

Originally from Canada, Rebecca moved to Australia in 2003 and graduated with Honours from the Juris Doctorate degree at Bond University. Due to her passion for higher education, Rebecca sat on the board of members of Bond University for six years as the alumni representative.

Rebecca draws on her extensive life experience to creatively approach legal matters. She has a caring and kind manner which allows her to relate to clients’ individual situations. Rebecca is client oriented and focused on achieving the best results for her clients.
